Change a Bulk Product to Pre-Packaged Units
Converting a loose (bulk-weight) package into fixed-count “pre-packs” keeps your inventory accurate and ensures every sale is reported to METRC with the correct unit type.
Scenario 1: Package is Still in Back Stock
1.	Find the package: go to Products, search, then click the ► arrow beside the Batch #.
2.	Click Click to Edit Package.
3.	Set the pre-pack configuration • Order Quantity → enter the total number of units (e.g., `40`). • Change Unit of Measure from Grams to Units. • Unit Weight appears → enter weight per unit (e.g., `3.5`). • Choose the matching Unit Weight UOM (usually Grams).
4.	Scroll down and click SAVE.
Scenario 2: Package is Already on the Sales Floor
1.	Return it to stock: click the Batch # → select the ← arrow → confirm quantity → click Transfer.
2.	Follow the steps in Scenario 1 to convert to pre-packs.
Why Convert?
Compliance — METRC expects unit-based sales. Accuracy — Cashiers see exactly how many sellable units remain. Reporting — Reconciliation and discrepancy reports stay aligned.
