How do I transfer product from my dispensary to another dispensary
| Transfer Product to Another Dispensary | |

| This process covers transferring product from your inventory to another dispensary or processor. You'll move stock to the sales floor, create a delivery customer, and complete a delivery. | |
| 1 • Prepare for Transfer | |
| a. | Click Products in the main menu and ensure the stock has been transferred to the sales floor. |
| b. | Click Sales in the menu to go to the sales page. |
| 2 • Create a New Dispensary Customer | |
| a. | On the Sales page, click the New Customer button. |
| b. | Change the customer type to Dispensary. |
| c. | Enter the recipient dispensary's name as the customer name. |
| d. | Enter the recipient's license number as the patient number. |
| e. | Enter a valid date range for the patient card’s effective and expiration dates. |
| f. | Enter dispensary address and a phone number or email. |
| g. | If applicable, select a Tax Exempt option |
| h. | Click Save. |
| 3 • Start a Delivery | |
| a. | Click the Start Delivery button. |
| b. | On the Delivery page, click Start Delivery next to your recipient company’s name. |
| c. | When the Point of Sale screen opens, add the inventory to be transferred to the order. |
| d. | Click on the price to update the value if appropriate (typically wholesale prices, no tax) |
| e. | Click the Print Manifest button at the bottom of the POS screen to print a manifest. |
| f. | Close the sale. *Since this is a Delivery transaction, this does NOT remove the inventory from your shop yet. You still need to complete the Transfer.* |
| 4 • Create the Transfer | |
| a. | Back on the Sales Page, click Delivery Manifests |
| b. | Select the green Start Delivery button |
| c. |
Complete the Transfer form

*48 Hour Window* You must gather all info and complete the form within 48 hours, otherwise it will disappear from the Delivery Manifests section of Marijuana Software and you will have to refund the Delivery sale and start over. |

Once the form is complete, select Save and it will appear in the table on the right side of your screen. This also sends the transfer template to Metrc. |
| 5 • Finalize Transfer in Metrc | |
| a. |
Log in to Metrc and select the drop down arrow next to Transfers, then select Templates |
| b. |
Locate Transfer and select the “Use” button on far-right hand side of row |
| c. |
Review details and select Register Transfer |
| d. |
Go to the Licensed tab under Transfers |
| e. |
Highlight outgoing transfer and click View Manifest – generates PDF |
| f. |
Print 2 copies, one for you and one for the driver to accompany products |
| g. |
In Metrc, packages will automatically move to “In Transit” once transfer is registered |
| 6 • Complete Transfer in Marijuana Software | |
| a. | In Marijuana Software, go to Sales > Delivery Manifests |
| b. | In the table on the right, select the Complete Transfer button next to your Transfer Template |
| 6 • Helpful Tips to Know | |
| a. | If sale is voided in POS after registering the transfer in Metrc, you will need to void the transfer in Metrc to return inventory to your shop. |
| b. | The receiving shop must accept transfer in Metrc for inventory to be removed from your shop and added to theirs |
| c. | If they only accept part of the transfer, the product will reappear in your Outgoing Transfers tab in Metrc for you to receive back. |
