Changing the Product Template Name

There are a few different reasons you may want to rename a product. You may need to clean up an unfriendly package import name by moving it to an existing product template, or you may need to rename just one package by creating a new product name for that single item.

| 1. Rename a Product to an Existing Item | |
| a. | On the Products page, locate the product you want to rename. |
| b. | Click the small icon next to the batch number. |
| c. | Click the Change product template button. |
| d. | Leave the selection on choose an existing product. |
| e. | Select the correct existing product, then click OK. |
| f. | The package will transfer to that product, and the batch number and quantity will remain intact. |
| 2. Rename a Package by Creating a New Product | |
| a. | If you want to rename to a brand new product, again, start on the Products page by clicking the icon next to the batch number. |
| b. | Click the Change product template button. |
| c. | Select Create New Product and enter the new product name. This is useful when you need to add a differentiating flavor or identifier to that one package. |
| d. | Save the change. |
| e. | The renamed package will keep its batch number and quantity, while the other packages on the original product template remain unchanged. |
