Price Tiers & BOGO Discounts
| How to Set Up Price Tiers and Smart Pricing | |

Price tiers can be used for quick, consistent pricing and can also be used to offer customers discounts when they purchase larger quantities of product. This feature is called Smart Pricing. |

| Turn On Smart Pricing | |
| Step 1 | From the main menu, click Edit Account. |
| Step 2 | Click the Loyalty Information tab. |
| Step 3 | Click Edit. |
| Step 4 | In the Smart Pricing field, check the box. |
| Step 5 | Click Update Store Account. This tells the software to calculate prices based on the price tiers you set up instead of only using the gram price. |
| Create a Price Tier Group | |
| Step 1 | Go to the Products page. |
| Step 2 | Click Manage Price Tiers. |
| Step 3 | Click Create New Price Group. |
| Step 4 | Enter a name for the price group. |
| Step 5 | Edit the item names on the left side as needed. These names should reflect the type of pricing group you are creating, such as bottom shelf flower, middle shelf flower, pre-rolls, cartridges, or a promotion. |
| Step 6 | Enter the Quantity, select the Unit of Measurement, and set the pricing for each tier. |
| Step 7 | Save the price group once your quantities, units of measurement, and prices are set. |
| Price Tier Examples | |
| Flower | For flower price tiers, set up names such as Bottom Shelf Flower or Middle Shelf Flower. Enter quantities using grams as the unit of measurement, then set pricing so customers receive larger discounts when they purchase larger quantities. |
| Units | For products such as pre-rolls or cartridges, edit the names on the left to reflect the product type. Enter the quantities, set the unit of measurement to units, and enter the pricing for each quantity. |
| Promotions | Price tiers can also be used for promotions such as BOGO or buy one, get one half off. Edit the names, quantities, unit of measurement, and prices to match the promotion you want to offer. |
| Attach a Price Tier Group to a Product | |
| Step 1 | Return to the Products page. |
| Step 2 | Find the product you want to attach the price tier group to. |
| Step 3 | Click the product price. This opens the jar details. |
| Step 4 | Use the price tier dropdown to select the correct price tier group for the product. |
| Step 5 | Confirm the prices auto-populate from the selected price tier group, then click Save. |
| Step 6 | Close the additional window. |
| Step 7 | Repeat these steps for any additional products that should use a price tier group. |
| Sell a Product with Smart Pricing | |
| Step 1 | Go to Sales and start a new order. |
| Step 2 | Select the product and add it to the order as usual. |
| Step 3 | If the customer adds enough quantity to qualify for a price tier, the software will automatically adjust the order price to match the tiered price. |
| Example | If an eighth is $35.00, two eighths would normally total $70.00. If the 7 gram price tier is set to $65.00, Smart Pricing will automatically correct the total to $65.00 instead. |
| Units | Unit-based price tiers work the same way. Select the quantity, such as 1, 2, 4, or 5 units, and the item will ring up based on the price you set for that quantity. |
| Compliance Reminder | |
| Note | Some states only allow certain discount types for non-marijuana products. Check your state regulations before using price tiers for marijuana items, promotions, or discounts. Price tiers can also be used for non-marijuana products such as merchandise or accessories. |
| Smart Pricing is now enabled, and price tier groups can be attached to products so the correct tiered price is applied automatically during sales. | |
