Making Pre-Packs
| How to Change a Package Unit of Measurement | |

Sometimes a package imports from Metrc in a different unit of measurement than how you want to sell it. For example, you may receive a package in ounces that you want to sell as grams, or receive a package in grams that you want to sell as units. In these cases, you can use Make Pre-Packs to change the unit of measurement.

| 1. Open the Package Details | |
| a. | From the Products page, locate the product you want to change the unit of measurement for. |
| b. | Click the small icon next to the batch number. |
| c. | On the package details page, click Make Pre-Packs. |
| 2. Change the Unit of Measurement | |
| a. | Enter the weight of each unit. |
| b. | The software will automatically calculate the number of units for you. |
| c. | Click Make Pre-Packs. |
| d. | The package will immediately be converted to units. |
| 3. Optionally Update the Product Name | |
| a. | Pro Tip: If you want the product name to reflect the new unit of measurement, click Change Product Template. |
| b. | Select an existing product name from the drop-down list, or click Create New Product and enter a new name. |
| 4. Confirm the Updated Package | |
| a. | Add a new jar if needed. |
| b. | Return to the Products page. |
| c. | Confirm that the package now shows the updated unit of measurement and, if changed, the updated product name. |
| ✓ Done: You have successfully changed the package unit of measurement and updated the product name if needed. | |
