Convert Weight-Based Packages to Pre-Packaged Units
This guide shows how to change a package’s unit of measure from grams (bulk weight) to units/each (pre‑packs) in Marijuana Software. You will learn how to locate the package, edit its settings, set a unit weight, and save the changes so the inventory can be moved to the sales floor.
1	Open the package details
a.	From the main menu, click Products and wait for the products page to load.
b.	Scroll or search to find the product measured in Grams. Look for a blue Add Jar link in the Inventory column.
c.	Click the small arrow to the right of the Batch # to open the package details page in a new tab【951384181113601†screenshot】. (Do not click the batch number itself; the arrow opens the details page.)
2	Edit the package and change the unit of measure
a.	On the package details page, click the green Click to Edit Package button to open the edit screen【951384181113601†screenshot】.
b.	Scroll down to the Package Weight / UoM section. Change the Order Quantity or Unit of Measure drop‑down from Grams to Units【398304611457499†L21-L24】. When you select Units, a Unit Weight field appears.
c.	Enter the weight of a single unit (for example, 3.5 g for an eighth). In Oklahoma pre‑packs, you may use 35 g if you are splitting a larger package. Use the drop‑down to select the correct unit of weight (usually Grams)【398304611457499†L21-L25】. Update the Order Quantity field if necessary to reflect the number of units you are creating.
3	Save the changes and move the package to the sales floor
a.	Scroll to the bottom of the edit form and click Save【367046390431599†screenshot】. This converts the package from weight‑based to unit‑based and updates the total order quantity.
b.	Return to the Products page (use the Back to List link or close the tab). Locate the same product and click the Add Jar link to move the pre‑packaged units to the sales floor for sale.
✅ Your package is now converted to pre‑packaged units. Sales of this product will deduct one unit per item and update METRC correctly【398304611457499†L15-L24】.
