| 1 • Create Non‑Marijuana Product |

When creating the product, set the State Category to Non‑Marijuana Item so the item will not be reported to METRC. |

Fill in other details (product name, vendor, cost, SKU/Barcode, etc.) and click Create. |
| 2 • Ring Up Non‑Medical Sales |
| a. |
Create a customer record labeled Rec Customer or Sample Customer in your customer records. |
| b. |
Ring up non‑medical products under that customer record to keep those sales separate from regulated sales. |
| ✅ Non‑marijuana products are added, and non‑medical sales are recorded outside METRC. |
