| Move Product to Correct Category |
| A new package imported from METRC may create a new category. Change the product’s category and sync METRC tags to avoid duplicates. |
| 1 • Fix the Category |

Go to the Products page. |
| b. |
Search for and open the product that was incorrectly categorized. |
| c. |
Click Edit Product Details. |
| d. |
Choose the correct Store Category from the dropdown. |
| e. |
Click Save to update the product. |
| 2 • Prevent New Categories |
| a. |
Copy the METRC tag number from the new package. |
| b. |
On the existing product in Marijuana Software, open Edit Product Details. |
| c. |
Paste the METRC tag into the Batch # field to overwrite the old batch number. |
| d. |
Save your changes. Future imports will sync with the correct category. |
| ✅ All done! Your product is in the right category and new packages will sync correctly. |
