Customer management in Marijuana Software can be completed from the Sales tab. You can create new customers, check customers in, search existing customer records, update customer details, and review customer activity. |
|
| Create a New Customer Manually | |
| a | From the Sales tab, select New Customer. |
| b | Choose the customer type, such as Medical, Caregiver, or Recreational. The required fields will change based on the customer type selected. |
| c | Fill out all required customer information. |
| d | Select Save to create the customer record, or select Save and Check In to create the customer record and place the customer in the lobby for a sale. |
| Use Self Check In | |
| a | If your shop uses a kiosk, open the Self Check In page for customers to check themselves in. |
| b | Have the customer scan the large barcode on the back of their ID. |
| c | The system will verify the ID, confirm it is not expired, and confirm the customer is over 21. |
| d | Once the customer receives the green light, they can review the information pulled from the ID and correct anything that was not captured accurately. |
| e | If the customer wants to be marked as a marketing contact, they can select the marketing contact checkbox. |
| f | The customer selects Save and Check In to save their information, create a customer profile in the database, and check in for a sale. |
| g | The customer selects Check In Only if they should only be checked in for a single sale. This does not save their information or create a profile in the database. This option is important for states that require consent before collecting personal customer information. |
| Create a Customer from Check In | |
| a | From the Sales tab, select Check In. |
| b | Use the date shown at the top of the check-in page as a reference when checking ID. If the customer was born on or before that date, they are over 21. |
| c | Choose one of the available methods to submit the customer's ID information: upload a photo of their ID or medical card, or scan the large barcode on the back of their ID. |
| d | After the information is submitted, the system will parse the ID information and extract the customer details onto a form. |
| e | Use the thumbs up or thumbs down button to provide feedback on the feature, if needed. |
| f | Select Copy to Sales and Create. |
| g | Review the customer information. Change the customer type if needed, such as changing the customer to Recreational, and edit any information that was not pulled correctly. |
| h | Select Create to create the customer record, or select Create and Check In to create the customer record and place the customer in the lobby for a sale. |
| Find an Existing Customer | |
| a | Look through the customer list and select the customer when you find them. |
| b | If you do not see the customer, place your cursor in the search bar and press Enter to view the rest of the customer list. |
| c | Search for the customer by typing their name in the search bar. |
| Manage an Existing Customer | |
| a | Select Archive if the customer record needs to be archived. |
| b | Select New Order to start a new order for the customer. |
| c | Select Check In to place the customer in the lobby for a sale. |
| d | Select Details next to the customer's name to open and edit the customer record. This is where you can update customer information, such as an expired piece of identification. |
| e | From the customer details page, select the Orders tab to review the customer's order activity. |
| f | From the customer details page, select the Loyalty Program tab to review the customer's loyalty points. |
| Customer management can be completed directly from the Sales tab, including creating customer profiles, checking customers in, starting new orders, editing customer records, reviewing order activity, and checking loyalty points.
